I have been studying the book of Malachi and there is something that I would like to share that has stirred me to think and examine things in my walk with God. You will find in the first chapter of Malachi that the children of Israel are bringing defiled animals as their sacrifice to God.The animals were blind, sick, and lame. God had made it plain to them that the sacrifice brought to Him wasn't to be defiled in any way. We are to offer our best to God not our lame faith, our crippled spirit, and our blind eye to sin in our lives. Romans 12 says we are to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. I have been washed in the blood of Christ and redeemed by the sacrifice of His life for mine, and my reasonable service is to give Him my best each day; to sacrifice my will for His and be an example of Christ that draws others to Him.

When I open myself up to the Word of God and allow it to help me examine my relationship with God, I find that I have brought a defiled sacrifice to God on many occasions. I have looked blindly on sin in my life, I have shown lame faith at times, and displayed a crippled spirit and a defeated walk. When we allow the world to have more influence in our lives than God, we will have less of the Spirit's power and, we will conform to the world bringing forth an offering that is totally unacceptable to God.  Meditate on the Word daily and let it transform you. The benefits of a right relationship with God are far more prosperous than anything the world can give or promise.

HAPPY FALL!!
The colors are really starting to pop around here and the trees and landscape are getting more colorful everyday. God is the true artist.
October has been a great month for us. We traveled to Knoxville Tn. on the first weekend to see our friends at Victory House Of Faith. Pastor Jeff had just come from a wedding when I got started to sing. By the end of the evening he had got rid of the tie the coat and his cowboy boots. We had a great time with Pastor Jeff, Rosemary and all the kind folks who came.
The next weekend we traveled to Williamstown Ky. to God's Community Church and our friend Pastor Landon Scott. Nancy and I had a wonderful time with Brother Landon and the church and the presence of God filled the morning service and our hearts. On this same Sunday we traveled back down the road to Frankfort Ky. To my good friend Roger Barkley's Church. Roger is my web site master and my brother in Christ. The Leestown Gospel Church welcomed us with open arms and warm hearts. Pastor Tim closed the service out by praying for Nancy and I and giving us an open invitation to come back anytime. Then we got to EAT, and Nancy being a great cook had to sample the cakes of these great cooks, TWICE!! Then she slept the 5 hours home.
Next was the Salvation Army Men's day service. I sang some songs then spoke to the men about being servants in the service of the Lord. The day was special and the meal was great, many thanks to Capt. Sarah Saunders for letting us come and be apart of their special day. I finished the month at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with our Buddy's the Masters Call and then with two homecoming singings at Williston Baptist and New Life Baptist. Wow what a month of doing the Lord's work. It has been awesome!!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and you know whats not far behind that. November will be a slower month but still busy. Keep us in your prayers as we travel. God loves you and so do we.

Be Blessed
